Sandra Holl graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in French but decided to go to culinary school after tiring of working an office job. Following graduation from California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Sandra landed an externship at Tartine Bakery and continued to work there for the next two years. In 2005 Sandra and Mathieu moved to Chicago and started Floriole at Chicago’s Green City Market. In 2010 they opened Floriole Café & Bakery in Lincoln Park.

At the bakery Sandra is in charge of marketing and all food that comes out of the kitchen, both sweet and savory. She has appeared on Unique Sweets and the Martha Stewart Show, contributed to Bon Appétit and Sweet Paul magazine and was named Pastry Chef of the Year at Chicago’s Jean Banchet Awards.
